Proposal of ranks.

So as of now, we can the normal ranks, which just shows players with blue names.
We then have VIP's, Mentors, Mods, a Super Mod, Admins, Head Admin, Co-Owner & Owner.
I'm not sure if anyone already mentioned, but we need to do more with the regular ranks for new players.
And since we have a Super Mod and an Head Admin, perhaps a Head Mentor? I don't know what commands they would have, but they'd have a superior in their group.
New players should probably start with something like 'Guest' and then do whatever to prove themself then be something like 'Member'.
Members would be the regular players who play the survival mode and create towns and etc, etc.
And after Member would be something like 'Trusted'. I'm not sure of what access they would have. Perhaps like VIP but with less?
Maybe more cash drop from the mobs.

All in all, perhaps the rank system would go something like:
Guest, Member, Trusted, VIP's, Mentor, HeadMentor, Mod, SuperMod, Admin, HeadAdmin, Co-owner, Owner.

We need to have the server be a lot more secure for the future, there has been countless times we've been hacked, and it's pretty damn annoying.

I couldn't Agree More with your guest/members/Trusted ranks idea.

Also the Spawn could get more informative signs with basic towny/lockette/mcmmo commands to explain what they're used for and what they do.

It would help both mentors and mods avoid having to answer simple questions that really only take a good 5 min tutorial to read and understand.

As well as not having to explain a whole 20min topic ( like towny plot/plot sizes/prices/perms/upkeep/tax/etc ) to a new player, then 5 mins later having them quit....
because no matter how many mentors/mods there is, It gets annoying after a while.

Yeah, we were going to add signs to the spawn to explain everything, but since we're getting a new spawn anyways, there's no point in putting them up just yet.
Trying to explain it all to a new players does get pretty frustrating.
Especially if they're new in general to Minecraft.
Mentors are there to explain in detail or to help with certain tasks.

On the lockette thing, instead of explaining it in signs, rather we actually set up a room demonstrating it?
Show how once you put a sign in front of that selected thing and put [Private] on it, other players can't use it.
That, and we'll show all the types of things you can private and how to add more players to that selected item.

We might as well make a full tutorial on all the commnads =p

Ethier in video or in the example thing you explained Tele.

At least we won't have to sit there and explain everything.
We could just tell them to go look at the explanations.

But can u guys get on the server? did it just go down right now?

Ive thought about making new ranks , like ive made mentor , super moderator and Head Admin ranks .
But it may not be a good idea if we got so many ranks , we already have small issues with adding commands to each rank . supermod doesn't have much more commands than normal moderator does .

Those Hack attacks will continue even if we have more ranks . ( I can explain it later ... I just don't wanna tell huge story to this reply .)

Alright, that's fair enough. Maybe not a HeadMentor, but at the very least Guest and Member should be added.
It'd basically just be giving a title to the members is all so we know their rank.

I think this can be the solution.

This file can read permissions, and i can set different commands and prefixes to certain groups.




Default player (not staff member) ranks should go like this:

In theory, i can add unlimited ammount of ranks, and set custom amount's of time, during next rank.

However staff ranks can't be earned this way.

And rank "Legend" is so legendary, that players rly need to play for it..
